Automobile companies are one of the first companies that come to mind that utilizes business-to-business transactions. These companies use both e-marketplace and telephone services to gain access to thousands of parts that they will need for their customers. In using the e-marketplace, automobile companies can communicate and shop around with suppliers all over the world for quality parts. Once the part is found, that part is shipped to the automobile company and then, in turn, sold to the customer. This is known as business-to-customer, or B2C. Thousands and thousands of B2B transactions occur daily, while B2C transactions occur at a fraction of that. Automobile companies can look for new parts, old parts, refurbished parts, and so on, just to fit the needs of the customer. In using the e-marketplace aspect of business-to-business transactions, companies can build strong relationships with the suppliers that often benefit not only the company, but the customer itself. Ensuring happy customers means that they will return for their needs.
