Yoga As A Childrens Practice

When it comes to kids, we all want them to grow into healthy, happy individuals capable not just of handling everything life throws at them, but to be able to enjoy life to the fullest. The way that a community brings children from childhood into adulthood will have a large affect on their ability to do just that. Obviously, there are many components- nuclear family, extended family, friends, neighbors, teachers and so on. All of these individuals will play a part. Imagine, if there was a practice that could be shared at home, at school, with friends, and so on. Yoga is an excellent practice that can be practiced at home, at school, in yoga classes, with friends, and so on. Yoga in the classroom has been shown to help children focus, stay calm and alert at school. At home, yoga can be used as a means to stay healthy, to learn a physical fitness practice, as a meditation practice and so on.
